About Me
I would be lying if I said a great understanding of fitness and well being has always been present in my life. During my young teenage years I struggled with weight control and understanding what was good for my body. Football has always been one of my biggest passions and growing up, I just assumed whatever I ate, I could burn off and be in good shape. Let me tell you, it does not really work like that!
As I took football more seriously going to Barking Abbey Football Academy in my sixth form college years, at the age of 18, I was very fortunate to receive a 4 year scholarship offer to become a Division I Men's Soccer student-athlete at Northern Illinois University in the USA. Without doubt, one of the best life experiences I have ever had! It was a steep learning curve for me, and it was here that I began to understand about the power of good nutrition and training methods. Learning from some of the leading and smartest strength and conditioning coaches in the country multiple times per week for 4 years has helped not only to fuel my passion for fitness but has also shaped me to become the trainer I am today.
Since graduating from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Finance, I have been able to play football in Sweden, Denmark, Italy, and finally now back at home in England currently with Carshalton Athletic. It may be safe to say I have a passion for travelling too! Since moving back home, I have obtained qualifications such as a Level 3 in Personal Training, Level 2 in Fitness Instructing, Level 2 in Understanding Nutrition & Health, and a FA Level 1 in coaching football to reinforce my learning and understanding with fitness and training.
